These two are done by the lovely Guen Douglas . She is currently working at Magnum Opus in Brighton, UK but will be back in at Salon Serpent in Amsterdam from september on.
I have always loved african wildlife and the big cats in particular. I got the chance to work hands on with them a couple years back and wanted them to be a part of me forever.
I got the cheetah over a year ago and it is a portait of a cheetah I used to work with named Cleo who sadly passed away. The banner says “Alles sal reg kom” which was the first Afrikaans words I learned and they mean “everything will be ok”.
The lioness (I call het Nala, that’s also my nickname) was done a couple weeks back. She is not a specific lioness I worked with but I just love how powerful and beautiful they are. I guess everbody knows what Hakuna Matata means :’) I love the Lion King, Disney in general, very much as well.
These are WONDERFUL! I’m thinking of a lioness tattoo, it seems like lots of people get lion tattoos, but lioness are so much cooler!
