I got this done by Jon at Threshold in St. Charles, Missouri.
There are a few things that made me get this tattoo.
- This to me is a reminder of my grandma who passed of cancer years ago. This just reminds me of all the mornings we got up early to sit on the porch drinking coffee while watching and listening to the birds.
- Blue birds also mean positivity, and happiness.I couldn’t of asked for anything better than this.

My City & Colour tattoo as soon as it was finished.
This is my first tattoo! It’s a kingfisher, taken just after it was finished. I chose a kingfisher because they have dual symbolism as a bringer of tranquility and of death, which I found really interesting. My second tattoo-a tribute to my home state of North Carolina. I’ve wanted one with dogwood flowers but never knew quite how I wanted it until recently. I love bluebirds, and they remind me of my dad and grandparents.
I drew my idea and Juan Salinas at American Tattoo in Buenos Aires made it happen. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
